I actually got my stinkin' free ipod, who knew?! and a a free flat screen to boot! next up, Free x-box (only 4 completed referrals needed)

I'm now at 5 completed referrals for the ipod offer (but a ton of uncompleted referrals) In order for you to be eligible for your own free ipod, and for me to be able to get mine, you have to sign up for 1 thing. Want to know what the least painful (or cheapest out of pocket) offer to do is? Check out Rate Ipod Offers: I did AOL, I hear infone is pretty painless.
For those of you who don't want ipods there's also Free Desktop PC's and Free Flat Screen TV's and Flat Screen Monitors (same deal applies, sign up, complete an offer, refer 8 friends for a free flat screen TV, or 10 friends for Desktop PC).
If we can get our act together we can create some sort of conga line, where after I get my referrals people who helped me out can get their referrals posted on drivel, and we can help speed up the process so more people can get free stuff (like the byoac conga)
My suggestion is to sign up for one of the free trial offers and after you get "credit" for completing the offer wait a few days and cancel. Like AOL and Netscape internet. If it offers you the infone card one, that's a cool one as well because if you never use it, you'll never get charged AND you get a 10 dollar amazon gift certficate. The video professor is also easy and only 6 bucks for shipping (and credit shows instantly).
I suggest creating/using a junk email account BUT it's very important to check the spam/junk filter as the invites and verfication email/etc WILL get dumped there. Then it's just a matter of getting a few friends to sign up (hint post your referral url in your sig ) =)
Unfortunately you are probably best off using IE when using the gratis network sites and allowing popups on the site (yeah.. I know... there's a few hoops for "free" stuff, but it's worth it, right?)
UPDATE Wired article Freeipod.com feeling the heat Apparently the flow of ipods are too slow, presumably do to the explosion of interest in the program, and people are getting upset at how long their ipods take to get to them (but they *ARE* getting them)
